SDS vs MSDS - What is the difference?

Answer: SDS and MSDS refer to the same document.  As of 2012, MSDS sheets have been replaced with SDS sheets.  The contents of the two documents convey the same information, it is purely a naming change which seeks to drop the "M" from the title of the document.  For a more complete detail on when and why the change occurred, please read:

Who regulates SDS sheet format and contents?

Answer: SDS sheets and their standard formatting are managed by the Occupational Safety and Healthy Administration. For more information on OSHA visit OSHA.gov
