There are two primary ways to ship industrial alcohol throughout the lower 48 states, via FedEx Ground or LTL Freight. While the two services each offer safe transport of the product from the distillery direct to the customer, the volume being shipped often determines the method used.
Shipping Via FedEx Ground
FedEx Ground is the carrier of choice when shipping orders 15 gallons and under. Ground transport, like the kind offered by FedEx Ground service, is required in accordance with DOT regulations for transporting hazardous materials safely. Because ground service is a requirement, we are unable to ship to islands, even if they are part of the United States.
Can I order Expedited Shipping?
Unfortunately, no. Ground service also limits the speed which the item can travel across the country, as air service is prohibited due to the hazard class of the industrial ethanol. Fortunately, however we ship all orders same day or next day without additional fees or charges, so you can be sure your industrial ethanol is on its way as quickly and safely as possible.
Shipping Via LTL Freight
LTL stands for "Less than truck load". LTL Freight is used when shipping items packaged on a pallet. Typically we ship orders 20 gallons and over on a pallet using LTL freight service.
What is lift gate service?
If your facility does not have a truck level loading bay, you can order lift gate service at checkout. Lift gate service lowers your pallet to the ground for easy unloading of your delivery. This service incurs a small extra charge by the shipping company, typically about $35-$50.
